About

I have been maintaining a photoblog since I was 16 years old. Sometimes I wish I had snap shots of all the about me pages I have written because my perception of myself and my ambitions within the realm of photography have changed drastically over the years.
This is always been a difficult section for me to fill out. At this point, I am not exactly sure what I am about. Every time I feel I am able to accurately write an about me page, I learn something new and I realize how little I actually know about the world and myself. For that reason, I am not going to use this section or this website to explain my perception of life or my unique ability to present the world through photographs.
What I do know is this, I am a (good) photographer and curious by nature. I want to explore and experience as much as I as I possibly can, and I want to tell stories. I believe that “a journalist is only as good as the depth and breadth of their experiences”[1] and this is also my methodology for improving as a journalist.
I am currently studying (photo)journalism and information technology (video and post production) at the University of Missouri. My interests lie in the realms of documentary photography and visual/multimedia journalism.
My works have been published both nationally and internationally by awesome publications and companies like JPG Magazine, The Boston Globe Online, The Columbia Missourian, Revision3, VideoFronta (Slovanian TV……cool eh?) and more.
If you are an adventurer looking for a strapping young journalist to document your next trip to Antarctica, the Amazon, Terra Haute, Indiana, your life and/or whatever, please contact me at you earliest convenience. I will work for food and travel expenses.
If you are not an adventurer, but would like to hire me for some type of photographic or visual work, use the contact form, phone numbers, social media links, or email addresses found throughout this website to contact me. I am currently based out of Columbia, Missouri and will travel anywhere.
I will leave it at that for now.
